Star Ascidian

Star Ascidian is a half-face piece inspired by the spiny creatures of the seabed. I wove its structure in metal and interlaced it with violet textures; the spikes stretch out into space like the tentacles of deep-sea life. I wanted to fuse the dark, wild mystery of the ocean with the mechanical precision of the cyber age — solid and void entwined, like an alien life form from a future deep sea, hazy on the surface, with the tension of hidden currents beneath.
