The Infatuated Master
Decades of time, read on the characters' faces.
An original Beijing-style drama directed by Mi Jiashan and written by Chun Yu, about a love that lasts for decades but never ends in marriage, set in the hutongs of Republican-era Peiping. After its 2018 premiere it played 40 performances in 30 cities. I designed a full ageing journey for the principal characters, with many changes done as quick changes between scenes.
